"Gone are the days of having to accept what your teeth look like. In this day and age, everyone can have great-looking teeth."

How it works

From the first conversation to your finished smile.

Step-by-step

Book a first visit or call 07 823 1210, and we'll help you figure out what you actually need.

Why this matters

Subtle work that lasts,
by people who care about it.

The best cosmetic dentistry is the work nobody can spot. It is teeth that look like teeth, in faces that look like the same face. We are wary of treatments that turn natural smiles into uniform sets of bright-white tiles. That is not what we do.

Cosmetic work also needs to last. We use materials and techniques chosen for longevity, and we will always tell you when whitening, hygiene, or restorative work should come before any cosmetic treatment for the result to last.

Frequently
Asked
Questions

What is the difference between veneers and bonding?

Composite bonding is tooth-coloured material applied directly to your tooth in a single appointment. It is less expensive, less invasive, and easier to repair, but generally does not last as long. Veneers are thin custom shells (porcelain or composite) bonded to the front of the tooth. They cost more, last longer, and require some preparation of the underlying tooth.

How long do veneers last?

Veneers typically last 5 to 15 years or more with good care. Both veneers and composite work can be replaced or repaired when they wear.

Can I see what my teeth will look like before I commit?

Yes. Where it is helpful, we can create a trial smile or wax-up, which lets you preview the result before any permanent work is done. We can adjust the design at this stage based on your feedback.

Are veneers reversible?

Composite bonding is largely reversible because little or no tooth structure is removed. Traditional porcelain veneers usually involve removing a thin layer of enamel, so they are not fully reversible. Some modern porcelain veneers (sometimes called minimal-prep or no-prep veneers) preserve more of the natural tooth. We will always be clear with you about which option we are recommending and why.

Do you offer Invisalign or clear aligners?

We can discuss the options that suit your situation at the consultation, including referrals where appropriate.

Where is Cambridge Dental located?

Cambridge Dental is at 9A Anzac Street, Cambridge 3434, in the Waikato region of New Zealand. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
