Why this matters

Catch small issues early,
save money long-term.

Most dental problems are quiet at first. A small cavity, a hairline crack, a minor lump, bump, swelling, ulcer or the early signs of gum disease. None of these hurt until they get bigger. Regular check-ups exist to find these issues at the small, simple, inexpensive stage. The longer something is left, the more it usually costs to fix.

A regular check-up is also the easiest way to keep a calm, friendly relationship with your dentist. The chair feels less intimidating when you are visiting it routinely, not only when something hurts.

Frequently
Asked
Questions

How often should I have a dental check-up?

Most adults benefit from a check-up every six to twelve months. Some patients with healthy mouths and good home care can stretch to once a year; others with higher risk of decay or gum disease may want to come more often. We will tell you what we recommend after your first visit, based on what we see, not on a generic schedule.

How long does a check-up take?

A standard check-up takes 30 to 45 minutes. First visits can take up to an hour. We never rush.

Do you see nervous or anxious patients?

Yes. A significant number of our patients describe themselves as nervous, anxious, or overdue. Our whole approach is built around making the chair feel calm: short first visits, clear explanations, and never pushing forward at a pace you are not comfortable with.

Are X-rays included in the check-up?

Bite-wing X-rays are standard at every appointment. Additional X-rays only if needed. We will explain both the reason and the cost before taking any

Can I book a check-up online?

Yes. You can book a check-up at Cambridge Dental online in under a minute, or call us on 07 823 1210 if you would prefer to talk through what you need first.

Where is Cambridge Dental located?
